Hook

A very special bird.

This beautiful Blue Heron was a beloved wild “pet” befriended by my Dad who named him “Hook” because of a single upturned toe on his foot. For years Hook would fly to my parents dock and fish for his breakfast. Sometimes my Dad would throw a cast net to make fishing a little easier on his bird.

After the Texas winter storm in February of 2021, Hook never returned to the dock. We are left with a lot of funny memories of him.

Original watercolor on 100% cotton smooth watercolor paper. Approximately 8”x5” hand cut. Ready to be framed.
